UNCF Scholarship

Starting 10 years ago The Unclaimed Diamonds Youth Empowerment Scholarship Fund has enabled many students the ability to achieve their academic goals. Unclaimed Diamonds also supports the Urban Leagues Community Scholarship Program and our own E. Steven Collins Memorial Scholarship Fund at Temple University.

Youth Empowerment Scholarship

United Negro College Fund/Youth Empowerment Scholarship

This scholarship is open to freshmen attending UNCF schools, Lincoln, Cheyney, or Temple Universities, and residing in Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Philadelphia or Delaware County in Pennsylvania; Gloucester, Camden, Burlington or Mercer County in New Jersey; or New Castle County in Delaware. Student must come from a single-parent household and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. For application and information, visit uncf.org

As seen on FOX 29 News! Unclaimed Diamonds donates a portion of all proceeds from the jewelry, diamond and engagement rings to help others. Part of this help is in the empowerment through education. E. Steven Collins leaves a lasting legacy of journalistic excellence and of helping the next generation of communicators. In his honor, Cathy Hughes, Founder and Chairperson of Radio One, and Radio One, Inc. have established the E. Steven Collins Memorial Scholarship at Temple University. E. Steven was a proud graduate of Temple. This scholarship will be awarded annually to deserving Philadelphia student. It’s purpose is to identify, educate, and prepare the next generation of journalists and media executives.
